Experimental data on lipids

• LipidBank provides lipid structures.
• LipidMaps, the Nature Lipidomics Gateway

Topologies, parameters, and structures for molecular dynamics codes

• CHARMM-GUI from Wonpil Im's lab provides Charmm parameters for over 30 lipids and can automatically build bilayers and embed proteins.
• The CHARMM force field parameters (including many lipids) can be obtained from Alex MacKerell's site.
• Peter Tieleman's Structures and Topologies contains a wealth of bilayer structures and GROMOS87/GROMOS96 topologies.
• The Automated Topology Builder (ATB) and Repository also contains manually curated lipid topologies for the GROMOS forcefield.
• Coarse grained MARTINI Lipid parameters are available from S. J. Marrink's site.
• Glycam builder builds Charmm and Amber topologies for carbohydrates and possibly glycolipids.
• The GROMACS Molecule & Liquid Database contains a large number of validated OPLS-AA and AMBER-GAFF parameters for small molecules, typically ones for which liquid state data are available.
• PDB structures of cholesterol-containing membranes from Jochen Hub's site contains equilibrated bilayer structures (together with parameters in Gromacs format).
